This past week the American Staffing Association (ASA) celebrated National Staffing Employee Week. The ASA put this week in place as a way to honor the large community of flexible workers that regularly work for staffing companies. More than 3 million temporary and contract professionals work for America’s staffing companies on a weekly basis.

  • Based on a survey by the ASA, 76% of staffing employees work full time, in comparison to 82% of the overall US workforce of full time employees – temporary employment has become a full time job for many individuals
  • 90% of staffing employees find that working for a staffing firm makes them more employable because they gain valuable experience and build skill proficiency to strengthen their resumes.
  • A large force behind the popularity of the use of temp services is the ability to have a flexible schedule.
  • 9 out of 10 staffing employees are satisfied with their temp service

These are all reasons behind why the staffing industry continues to grow and play an important role in the economic landscape.

At Ringo, while we do not typically work directly with contingent workers, we do work very closely with their temporary service providers. These providers work diligently to make sure the staffing and supplying of contingent talent is efficient and effective. They are there to keep in constant contact with their clients and temporary employees to ensure full satisfaction for both sides of the employment spectrum.
